CBDL contracts with 501 Consultants management team. 501 Consultants, a nonprofit consulting firm based in Cashmere, WA began a contract on December 1, 2010 to serve as the Columbia Basin Development League's (CBDL) new staff.
501 Consultants' President and CEO, Vicky Scharlau, will serve as the CBDL Executive Director. Scharlau has over 30 years experience in nonprofit management. In addition to Scharlau, her company brings a support staff of five to the League.
Former League Executive Secretary, Alice Parker, retired from her post once the new contract became official. However, in December, she was elected to the Board of Trustees where she is currently serving on the Executive Committee.
Plans for 2011 include membership development, improvements to the League's website and communications efforts, outreach and education activities, monitoring the status of the Odessa subarea special study, continued coalition building, and securing funds to complete the Potholes Supplemental Feed Route.
