FAREWELL TO DARVIN FALES

FAREWELL TO DARVIN FALES

The League sends a farewell to Darvin Fales as he is leaving his position as Secretary-Manager of the Quincy-Columbia Basin Irrigation District (QCBID) with his last day on July 6. A strong advocate for the Columbia Basin Project, Fales has worked for QCBID since 2004. The good news, however, is that he is staying “within the family.” Fales was selected to be the new Secretary-Manager for Columbia Basin Hydropower and will begin the new position on July 15. Fales will be taking over for Tim Culbertson, current Secretary-Manager of CBH, as Tim moves into retirement. Roger Sonnichsen will serve as acting QCBID Secretary-Manager until a new hire has been made.

Columbia Basin Hydropower provides administration, operations, and maintenance for hydroelectric facilities owned by the three Columbia Basin Irrigation Districts. The generation CBH produces benefits the local economy and the farmers of the Columbia Basin.
