Membership

Membership

Your membership makes our work possible. The League relies primarily on membership for the necessary funds to engage in continuous advocacy and outreach activities. You make it possible for the League to regularly monitor legislation and regulations impacting the Project, and to take action when needed.

Additionally, membership supports the League’s effort to provide timely, fact-based information and status updates to stakeholders. The League’s newsletter, Voice of the Project, is a well-known and appreciated publication.

The Project has one voice. Support it by becoming a member today.

In 2021, the League supported members by:

  • With partners, the League facilitated campaigns to generate Congressional awareness of CBP aging infrastructure needs. To showcase CBP’s generational impact, the League coordinated many policymaker tours of the first completed OGWRP pump station.
  • Despite funding uncertainties in the federal government, the campaigns helped the League secure in FY22 appropriations, directing Reclamation to push forward on OGWRP, as well as appropriate funds to upgrade overall Columbia Basin Project monitoring and operating systems.
  • Leveraging the return of Congressional earmarks in 2021, the League helped secure $2 million in Reclamation’s budget for OGWRP with support of the Washington Congressional delegation.
  • The League influenced language for the much-discussed federal bipartisan infrastructure bill to ensure a funding avenue for OGWRP and the CBP--if the bill passes.
